Suicide a sin in Islam

It's true that depression exists, and suicides are becoming more common. Life can be difficult, in fact, it can be extremely difficult, but is suicide the end of all problems?

In the Quran, Allah expresses his views on suicide.

You shall not kill yourselves [or one another]. Surely Allah is ever Compassionate to you. (Quran 4: 29)

People who are contemplating suicide should pause and consider what they want to achieve in life. Is life provided to us so that we might have a good time? What if we're not supposed to feel any sorrow? Isn't it meant to be a fight for us to survive? Unfortunately, there are those people who realize that life is not meant to be a bed of roses, but who yet claim that they are unable to cope with the difficulties. They believe that if they take their own lives, all of their problems will be resolved. If you are able to harness suicidal thoughts and believe that you will be able to exit the game by taking your own life, you are incorrect.

According to Thabit Ibn Al-Dahak, the Prophet [peace and blessings be upon him] said, "Whoever kills himself with anything in this world will be tortured with that thing on the Day of Judgment."

And there is another hadiths:

It is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (R.A.), that the Prophet (S.A.W.) said:

Whoever throws himself down a mountain and kills himself shall be thrown down into the Fire of Hell for all time and all eternity." Every time a person drinks poison and kills himself, he or she will continue sipping poison in the Fire of Hell for all of eternity. “Whoever murders himself with a piece of iron will keep that piece of iron in his hand forever and ever, stabbing it into his stomach in the Fire of Hell.” (Sahih Bukhari: 5778)

We all have issues to deal with. Everyone emphasises their blessings rather than their troubles, so you have no idea what is going on. Everyone is going through a difficult time. This life is an exam, and each individual has a question paper that has been specifically constructed for him or her. All that is required of you is to practise sabr and seek Allah's assistance.

Plant

Allah has the ability to accomplish anything. He is able to grow plants on rock, In his old age, he is able give Zakarriya Alaihe Salam a son, he is able save Yunus Alaihe Salam from the belly of a whale, he is able to cure Ayyub Alaihe Salam of illness, in fact, he is able to accomplish anything.

Suicide in Islam

We should have faith in Allah at all times. Allah does not place an undue weight on a soul that it cannot bear. If your test is difficult, it is because you are an excellent student. Moreover, Allah SWT compensates his slave for the pain of a sharp thorn that he endures in pursuit of his pleasure. Always keep in mind that Jannah is not an easy place to live. It is an endless state of happiness. You will not be able to reap the full benefits of Jannah unless you make some sort of sacrifice for Allah's sake.

Allah Ta ala Says:

Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried? (Quran 29:2)

But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars. (Quran 29:3)

In another verse Allah says:

And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, (Quran 2:155)

Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return." (Quran 2: 156)

When faced with a variety of difficulties, the best option is not to end one's life, but rather to be patient and seek assistance from Allah Ta'la personally, and if necessary, to seek the advice of a psychiatrist.

Attempting to take one's own life is absolutely prohibited. After death, such a person will be punished in the same manner in which he took his own life on a constant basis.

Life is a trust from Allah. Life is a test, and if you pass it, you will be rewarded handsomely. Sabr is available. Don't give up hope. Speak to your friends and family members, talk to those who care about you, make new friends, listen to Islamic lectures, read good Islamic articles, do something creative, do something you enjoy, offer dhikr to Allah, read the Quran, and BE STRONG.

Take Care Allah Hafiz!
