Surah Mulk Benefits & virtues (Protection In Grave)

Surah Mulk

Surah Mulk offers more advantages than you might think. It will safeguard you not just in this life and the next, but also in the interim. According to a hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) advised reading Surah al Muk every night before retiring to bed.

The 67th Surah of the Holy Qur'an is Surah Al-Mulk. It is found in the Holy Qur'an's 29th section (juz). It is known as "the Protective (Al-Waaqiyah)" because it protects those who say it and keep it in their hearts. It is called "the Preventive (Al-Maani')" because it protects the reciter and possessor from the grave's retribution. IT IS THE CONTENTIOUS (AL-MUJAADILAH) BECAUSE ON THE DAY OF RECKONING IT WILL ARGUE WITH ALLAH ALMIGHTY TO ENSURE THAT ITS RECITER AND POSSESSOR ARE GRANTED ENTRANCE INTO PARADISE.

Surah al Mulk is the Surah that intercedes for its reciters; it is the Surah that provides deliverance from the torture of the dead; it is the Surah that protects its reciter; it is the Surah that we have been told to recite and teach to our families. Hadhrat Abdullah ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with him) is reported to have said, "Personally, recite Surah Al-Mulk and teach it to your wife, children, and all the other children who live in your home, and even to your neighbours, because it is that which grants salvation, and it will firmly demand (your) salvation from Allah."

Surah Mulk Hadith

Many Ahadith about the qualities of surah mulk benefits have been reported from the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him. According to a Hadith related by Imam Abu Dawood and Imam Tirmidhi, Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "There is a surah (chapter) in the Quran that is made up of thirty verses that will keep interceding for a man until he is forgiven." The Surah is Tabarak Allazi Biyadihi al-Mulk, which means "Blessed is He Who Has the Kingdome in His Hand." According to the Hadith, the Surah will continue to intercede for the person who recites it throughout his life on the Day of Judgment. As a result, we should incorporate reading into our daily routine. Another storey advises Muslims to read Surah Waqiah and recite Surah Mulk before sleeping. When we recite Surah Mulk, we should have our youngsters (who do not yet know how to recite it) listen.

Benefits of Surah Mulk

The Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, said in a Hadith related by Imam al-Hakim, "Surah al Mulk prevents from the punishment in the grave." Imam Hakim further said that Abdullah bin Mas‘ud stated, "When a person is buried in his grave, he will be approached from his feet, and the feet will say, "You cannot hurt for what is in my heart," and that the person used to stand on me and read this Surah." The guy will then be approached from his chest, who will declare that you have no right to harm him because what is in his heart is Surah al-Mulk, which he used to recite. The man will then be contacted by the head, who will tell him, "You don't have any method to injure for what is in your heart, as the man used to recite by me." Then Abdullah bin Mas‘ud explained that this Surah protects people from dreadful retribution. Based on these – and many other – Ahadith, Muslim scholars hope that those who believe and read Surah al-Mulk on a regular basis would be spared from punishment and will merit Allah Almighty's mercy and pleasure.

Surah al Mulk before Sleeping

According to a Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, used to recite Surah al-Mulk every night. “Whoever recites Surah al-Mulk every night, Allah will prevent the penalty of grave by this Surah,” says Abdullah bin Mas‘ud. According to another legend, an angel descends to defend a person who Suran mulk read before sleeping because he is unable to protect himself due to sleep. As a result, Muslims should incorporate the recitation of Surah Mulk explanation and lessons into their daily routine, and they should remember the Surah so that they can recite it whenever they need to.
